Behavioral Policy
EXPECTATIONS FOR BEHAVIOR:
All members of our school community are expected to behave in a respectful, responsible, and safe manner at all times. This includes but is not limited to:
- Respect for others, including their feelings, opinions, and personal space
- Respect for school property and equipment
- Respect for academic and extracurricular programs
- Avoidance of violence, bullying, harassment, and discrimination
- Adherence to dress code policy
- Punctuality and attendance
- Compliance with all school rules and policies
CONSEQUENCES FOR VIOLATING THE POLICY:
Violations of the behavioral policy will result in consequences that are consistent, fair, and age-appropriate. The consequences will depend on the severity and frequency of the behavior and may include:
- Verbal warning
- Written warning
- Parent/guardian conference
- Detention
- Suspension
- Expulsion
SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS WHO NEED IT:
We recognize that some students may struggle with behavior issues, and we are committed to providing the necessary support to help them succeed. This includes:
- Behavior intervention programs
- Counseling services
- Support from school staff and administration
- Parent/guardian involvement
POLICY DEVELOPMENT PROCESS:
This policy has been developed with input from students, staff, parents, and other stakeholders. The policy will be reviewed and updated regularly to ensure that it remains effective and reflective of the needs of the school community.
